So, I had my official interview today. Thank goodness it's over. I HATE interviewing. I don't know why.... I just do.
The odd part was (again, small company) I had two meetings with them, plus the monthly birthday party before my interview. It was just so strange to me, lol.
Overall, I think it went well. They asked some tough questions, but I hope I answered them to their satisfaction. On my end, I had the advantage of knowing the company so well, I could give real examples. And, when they asked the "hypothetical" questions, I knew exactly what/who they were talking about.
Also, I was able to express to them sort of why I've hung around as long as I have. I've had some talks with them before, but I was really able to explain how I got there and more of how I worked my way up... from my side of the fence. At the very least, they've heard my story, if you will.
Once the interview was basically over, they all let me know that they've noticed me and my efforts over the past 3 1/2 years. It was nice. They acknowledged that I consistently put forth 150%, even when it's not asked of me or expected. In fact, one of them said the exact words, "I know it seems like no one was noticing, but we were. And, even when no one was going over to you and saying 'Good Job' you still did it. All of this on top of the other jobs you were working. We've seen that and we know what an asset you are." I really appreciated that.
I should know within a week or so, so please cross your fingers and pray for me!
