FFrrrrFreeeezing in Florida....

So, yesterday was a pretty chilly day in Florida, especially in October. Monday night was sooooo nice and when I woke up on Tuesday, it was nippy outside.... about 47 degrees.

Being stubborn, I refused to dress for cold weather. My regular capris and a blouse for work, it was.... absolutely no jacket. Well, it got colder and colder during the day. After dance, Billie Jo and I walked the lake and were so cold, lol.

Then, I woke up this morning and it was FREEZING. We can't turn on the heat in our house because of our allergies, so when I woke up, it was 63 degrees in the house!!!! I quickly set the coffee pot to brew while getting ready.

When I got out to my car, all my windows had ice on them, lol. I had to sit in my car for 10 minutes waiting for the ice to de-thaw.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this weather. But, we don't usually see this type of weather until late November or December, at the earliest.

It is COLD!

(FYI.... more New Mexico posts to come, just getting this out there, lol)

Time to say good-bye :(

To quote Anthony, "If you miss your plane, I'll be happy."

Yeah, dude, I'd be happy, too.

And Bella, "But, I don't want you to go."

And, I didn't want to go.

But, it was time, unfortunately.

Friday morning, Bella and Anthony helped me pack and zip my suitcase.

On the way to the airport, I took them all to Chili's to eat.

LOL.... I ordered dessert and you should have seen their faces, as well as heard their excitement when it got to our table. I checked my watch right before it came and it was 12:20. Then, it got there and they dug in. I checked my watch again when we were done and it was 12:24. I'm not even kidding!

Then, it was one final shot before the airport......

Halloween Party

*Warning... this post is being written while in a severe food and sugar coma*

First, it was time for preparations. Heidi, being the great mom that she is, planned a super-duper cake for it. The kids were excited about making the cake.

Bella and Anthony took a break to cheese for the camera.

Anthony decided to suck the icing straight for the tube (don't worry, we were done with it).

And, this is the damage afterward.....

Noah was more of a cake batter man.

The finished product....

Then, it was time to get dressed for the party!

Jessica the Fairy.....

Heidi the 80's Girl and Mike the 70's Man (we made him dress up)....

Natalie the 60's Chick and her son, Spencer the Baby Elephant....

Noah, an Emo Punk....

Anthony was a Transformer (I'm not sure which one)....

Bella perfecting the Princess Pout. LOL, "Aurora" wanted nothing to do with me while I was dressed up. As soon as I changed clothes, she was all over me, wanting to play and take pictures, lol. Go figure....

My Aunt Debbie, who didn't dress up....

Mike waited all night to be able to rip his $3 costume.

WHOO-HOO for Fondue!!

A tradition in our family is fondue. We love it, lol. Every time Heidi and I are together, we fondue, whether it's homemade or at The Melting Pot (our favorite restaurant EVER).

The kids were SUPER excited!

I was extremely proud of my veggie and bread tray, lol.

Once the "healthy" stuff was out of the way, it was on to the Chocolate portion of the evening!

Anthony tried sticking the whole marshmellow in his mouth, only it was so hot, he tried blowing on it while it was still in his mouth..... Result? The 'mellow went flying.

Bella decided to skip dipping fruit and cake, and went straight to licking the spoon....

STINKY feet and late night hilarity

We ate dinner tonight and as the boys were getting ready for bed, poor Anthony took off his shoes. WHOAH!!!! Those suckers were nasty. He thought it was hysterical and proceeded to chase everyone around the house, making them smell his feet.

He tried to pin me down and stick his feet in my face, to no avail.

Noah literally almost passed out.

.... Then, he decided to get revenge!!

Somehow, it turned into a game of, let's hang upside down.

Since I had the camera out, Bella wanted to take pictures. I got one really good one, then she thought it was funny to pick her nose while I took the picture. The more I tried to stop her, the funnier she thought it was, lol.

Once the boys were asleep, Bella was WIRED. She kept running across the house to me, "OPEN WIDE" and jump in my arms. I started calling her my Bella-Boo, which she thought was fabulous. I turned into "Princess-Boo."
