EH Tip #1

Keep the guys you're communicating with straight.

As in, don't be "E-H Mailing" and accidentally call them the wrong name. There is absolutely no situation where that is ok.

I honestly don't know how people date more than one person at a time.

Always A Bridesmaid

I am a bridesmaid. A lot.

Not quite up to 27 dresses, but I'm climbing.

Also, I've found that the more weddings I'm in, the better bridesmaid I become. Sorry to my friends that got me earlier on in my bridesmaid career.

This past weekend, I had the wonderful privilege of being in my friend Kristen's wedding. Our familes are very good church friends. A few years ago, we even went on vacation together.

I've been working for months for this wedding. As in, I had a pretty dress I was supposed to wear and I wanted to be able to breathe while wearing it.

Overall, I was successful!

Now, I'm planning on wearing the same dress for my 10-year reunion in August. I'd like to look even better in it, by then.

Anyway.....

Getting prettified.....

Getting the bride ready..........

Kristen and Christy.... they were college roommates.

Kristen and I

Melissa and Christy

Megan the Flower Girl......... Megan is another church family friend (the youngest of our crew..... whereas I'm the oldest of the "kids"). She was A TRIP. She spent the whole ceremony blowing kisses at the Ring Bearer. She also declared that she was going to catch the bouquet so that she could marry Johnny.

My hair from the back. My friend and stylist ROCKS.

Melissa and I.......... She is also a college friend of Kristen's. We became buddies when the photographer was being a pain. WORST photographer ever when it came to manner..... we spent the whole day looking at each other and trying not to bust up.

Christy and I....... We'd met before during one of their Spring Breaks. Christy is the most adorable and loveable person you'll ever meet. An absolute DOLL.

Lauren and I.......... Lauren is Kristen's sister. She is obviously from here, but also goes to the same college in Chicago as her sister. I was the ONLY member of the bridal party that isn't currently living in Chicago, lol.

Louise and I........ Louise is the MOB

"Can I just get married already???"

Davette and I......... Davette is Megan (FG)'s mother and also sang at the wedding. Again, my parents are super good friends with her and her husband. I'm sort of the in between....... being friends with the adults and the kids, lol.

Mother and her two little girls....

I love this pic :)

My mom took this pic right after the ceremony.........

My mom and I at the reception....

Princess Jackie and I.......... I've known Jackie her whole life and have called her "Princess" forever. I can't believe she's 15 and taller than me. She and her siblings went to my mom's daycare, and her family is part of the church crew.

Lauren, Jackie, and I

JoeJoe and I...... Jackie's brother, so I've also known him his whole life. He's one of Trevor's very best friends in the world. I'm going to miss him when he goes up to Chicago for college (he's going to the same school as Kristen and Lauren).

Susan and I......... Joe and Jackie's mama. Susan and I are "we don't like football/basketball/baseball/sports, so we're going to a movie while all of ya'll watch the game" buddies.

Mom and Kristen

The happy couple.........

I wish I had a picture/video of several of us doing a rap for the wedding video. Kyle (the groom)'s older brother was the main brain behind it and several of us helped him fill in blanks and sang (rapped?) backup. It was a minor highlight of the day.

Christy playing with my camera, lol.

One more picture before I undo the hours of preparation..........

Sunday Stealing

41. Who was the last person you went shopping with?

I go shopping with M and M, my lunch buddies all the time. Or, it's more like they sneak into stores after lunch and I'm just along for the ride, lol.

42. What is something you need to go shopping for?

Nothing, at the moment. After weddingness, I'm done with shopping for a little bit.

43. Do you have the same first name as one of your relatives?

No, but one of my middle names is after my paternal great-grandmother.

44. What kind of car do (did) your parents drive?

My mom always drove a 15-passenger van, because of her daycare. I actually learned how to drive using a 15-passenger van.

45. Are you rich?

Financially, nope.

46. If you could spend one intimate night with a celebrity, no questions asked, never to see them again, who would it be?

Oh dear. I'm going to say George Clooney. Just because.

48. What famous person do you look like? Feel free to use this facial match program by clicking here. Show us at least the celeb photo.

My celeb clones according you http://www.starsinyou.com/

49. What is the most daring thing you've done recently?

I don't think I have done anything daring.

50. Say you were given a pregnancy test right now. Would you pass or fail?

Doesn't pass/fail depend on what result you're wanting when it comes to that particular test?

In my case, I most certainly would not be preggos.

51. Which sex scandal of the last decade bothers you the most?

Arnold and Maria

52. Do you know anyone in jail/prison?

At the moment, no one I know (that I'm aware of) is in jail or prison. However, I've known plenty of people in the slammer.

53. What are your plans (or what have you done) for this weekend?

I was in a wedding, yesterday. Today, I went to church and am just chilling.

54. Have you ever woken up and not known where you were?

I've woken up and been disoriented for a few seconds, but I do always know where I'm at.

55. What were you doing at midnight last night??

Finally falling asleep after a long week and two really long days.

56. Last restaurant you went to?

A Greek place they had the rehearsal dinner.

57. How many hours did you sleep for last night?

8 glorious hours.

58. Which is more distracting: Sexting while driving or sex while driving?

Both are pretty distracting, but I think actually having sex while driving would be more dangerous.

59. Do you think someone is thinking about you right now?

No idea.

60. Have you ever changed your clothes while in a vehicle?

Yep

Friday Questions

1. The last thing I ate was lunch. A pulled pork salad and then some frozen yogurt after.

2. The next thing I'd like to eat is I don't know. However, the rehearsal dinner will be at a Greek place, so whatever I eat will be Greek.

3. The best things in life are intangible. Like love and laughter.

4. Something that makes me supremely and utterly happy is suddenly realizing that I'm having an AWESOME moment.

5. Sports are something I put up with.

6. I miss Heidi and her family..... Meg and her family...... Mia and her family.

7. Right now I am trying to figure out how I'm going to do everything I have to do (like sneak a trip to Target) before 5:30pm.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. What is your current favorite tv show?
So You Think You Can Dance......... It is tied for my favorite summer show. LOVE it.
My other favorite is Big Brother which starts on July 7th. Can.not.wait.
2. What's the worst haircut you ever got?
I can honestly say that I'm so boring with my hair that I really haven't had any horrible cuts. The younger years in the late 80s and early 90s where I had huge bangs were some bad styling, but that was the time.
I will say that the 2-3 years in college where I didn't have bangs was not the best. I have a huge forehead. It's hereditary. It needs bangs.
3. What was something that you did as a child that you thought you were so cool for doing?
Oh dear. The t-shirt with the knot on the side and spandex-ish shorts. It was THE style and I rocked it.
Also, I went through a phase where I wore shorts and then coordinating tights underneath them. Of course, I had matching Keds that I wore with no socks.
Keds.
4. Do you have any GREAT frugal family fun tips?
No. Not really, but I'll try......
Popcicles made out of Kool-Aid can make a summer.
Sprinklers.
Dive-In Movies at the local rec center.
Make your own Rice Krispy Treats. My mom used to buy huge boxes of Rice Krispies and bags of Marshmallows at Sam's. That one bulk investment kept my friends and I entertained (and fed) for weeks and weeks.
5. Would you drive across country if you had the money to fly?
Unless the whole trip was pointed at the road trip experience, no. I really prefer to fly.
Heidi In Florida - Universal Studios
Despite my two long St Jude days, we had major plans for Saturday, February 26th. We were all heading out to Universal Orlando.
Anthony and I waiting for ET............ Can you see how tired I was, lol???
Yeah, super tired.
Noah and I
We managed to fit quite a bit into the day. The kids LOVED the Woody Woodpecker area with the water slide. Lydia kept saying, "I not scared. I not scared...... No, no, I scared. I scared."
We ate, we killed aliens on MIB, we got candy, and then we went on Jaws.
And, we traumatized Bella and Lydia.
Poor Bella was holding onto Heidi and I for dear life. At one point, Jaws came out of the water right by Noah. She screamed "NOAH!!!!"............ This exact scenario happened about ten years ago when we took Trevor on the ride and Jaws almost ate me. He was also traumatized.
Then there was Lydia. Terrified. She had this look of horror on her face and kept repeating to herself the entire time, "It's ok, it's ok, it's ok, it's ok, it's ok."
It was awful and hysterical, at the same time.
After a couple more rides, it was Mardi Gras parade time.
Strike a pose, Bells.
Clearly, she got over the whole Jaws incident.
Bella-Boo and a made-up Jess.
I have NO idea what Lydia is doing in this picture, but I love it, lol.
Bella and I were bead catchers........ We kind of rocked at it.
Random Thoughts of a Procrastinator
"The Wedding" where I'm wearing "The Dress" is this Saturday. I've been trying really hard to eat well and exercise over the past few weeks.
And, I've been doing well.
Except now I'm PMSing BIG time.
And, all I want is the piece of Chocolate PB Cake sitting in the frig.
Even though I'm supposed to be saving up for the piece of wedding cake I'll be eating on Saturday.
Maybe it will be Publix wedding cake and I'll be too disgusted to eat it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I ate Fried Pickles for lunch.

They were super good, but I'm having Points Guilt about it now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm seriously entertaining the idea of signing up for EHarmony for the next three months.
Just to see what happens.
Even if nothing major happens, at least I tried.
And, I didn't spend the next two months until my 28th birthday NOT trying.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

See this picture?

This picture says a lot of things.....

1) My bangs are too long, because I've gone 7 weeks since my last cut and these last few days before my appt are driving me to pull them back. A look I very rarily go for.

2) I need more sleep, based off of the circles under my eyes.

3) I'm definitely turning 28 in two months. The lines on my forehead when I raise my eyebrows (which need waxing) are deepening.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We just got word that my cousin's husband is currently in the hospital for some major chest pains. They can't figure out if it's his heart, lungs, or what.
Pray please!!
48 hours = Saving Lives
While Heidi and her family were visiting, I had two of the most important days of my year..... St Jude Radiothon.
Part of me was really sad they were down here that particular week, because it makes for such crazy hours. I wouldn't have as much time for them.
At the same time, I was also kind of excited because they'd get to see what it is I'm so passionate about!
It worked out so that they were gone Thursday (February 24th) to the beach and spent the night, as well. Perfect, actually, because it allowed me to fully focus on the task at hand, instead of missing/worrying.
We were SUPER blessed with volunteers, this year. This was before 8am.
B and I........... I adore B. She is a coworker's wife and an awesome friend.
One of our local Police Depts came in to answer phones on Thursday. They were a welcome addition, this year.
FOOD!!! My intern did an amazing job of securing food donations, this year.
Lee Brice came in to help us out!! He had a show in the area and is a good friend of the station. He was gracious enough to stop by.
Telling our listeners just how important St Jude is......
Answering phones.......
Getting into trouble with the law, lol.
Lee and I
J and Lee
Mom and Lee (She was in both days, all day, to help)
By the end of the first day, we were a little behind last year. I was kind of stressing. My main goal for this year was to meet last year's total. With the economy, we've been steadily decreasing for the past few years. Things seemed to be turning around and I really wanted to break the cycle.
The morning crew ready to take on Day 2!
B is super cheery, in the mornings, lol.
D and I
M and I
Lt S and I............ He is from the Sheriff's Dept and brings his guys in EVERY year, on Friday. We *love* these guys.
Trev's gf Lauren stopped in to help.
M's first radiothon!
Ash and I...... Ash was our rep, this year. We LOVED her.
My intern Alexis. Adored her and still miss her presence in our office!
M and I...... she's one of our PTers and came in to volunteer.
Court was Ash's support staff. She was hysterical.
About midday, Heidi and the family came back from the beach. After spending a few minutes there, Mike took the kids back to the house and Heidi stayed to help.
Tired, tired, tired
At the end of the day, we raised $145,013. That was slightly ahead of last year..... SUCCESS!!!!
I already can't wait to take on next year!
