$3.00 for a pack of 6.

This is quite possibly the most random bit of information about me, EVER, but I'm waiting for the new Desperate Housewives to come on, so here goes.

I have this problem with socks. Literally, every single pair has at least one hole in the toe. Don't ask me why I've yet to just throw out the socks with holes in them and make new pairs with the non-holey socks. It's just this unconscious thing.

Until today.

See, it's freezing outside.

Well, it's in the 40s during the day in Florida. Which is freezing.

I know that in most other parts of the country, it's legitimately freezing. "The Guy" posted a picture of his thermostat on Facebook this evening...... it's 20 below zero outside in Minne-friggin-sota. But, in Florida, the 40s is freezing.

Anyway, I wore socks today because it's freezing. I usually don't wear socks unless I'm working out, but it's freezing.

Since I usually don't wear socks unless I'm working out, most people don't know that there are holes in them.

My mom noticed today, though. "Jess, your socks have holes in them."

"Yeah, I know."

"Why don't you put on another pair and throw that pair out?"

"Well, because they all have holes in them."

"Jessica! You can afford new socks! They are $3.00 for a pack of 6 at WalMart. Go buy some!"

I'm not sure why that never occurred to me, before. For now, though, I'm living with holes in my socks......

Girly I hear you!
I have a dingy holey pair on now and I'm debating going and buying some but I'm too lazy to take my butt to WalMart! :)

I have to throw out holey socks all the time! Between two boys that think socks are shoes and wear those outside instead of shoes and my husband who grabs my socks instead of his and stretches holes into them, I am constantly making new pairs. BTW I think socks are first of all way to expensive. Seriously it should be 15 pairs for 3 bucks and two, flip flops are wayyy better and I wear flip flops as soon as it hits 40 degrees. lol

Oh, I am with you! My socks never match and are permanently stained gray (from dirt and my sneakers.) They often sport holes, too. I probably have only one or two pairs that actually match. The rest? I just wear with others, even if one's blue and one's polka-dotted. For some reason, I just won't commit to the oh-so-expensive purchase of a new pack of socks! Must be our 20-something psyches!

I think here are many of us in blogland whose socks don't match and are ratty and holy. I save my old socks for walking around the house. I have tile throughout and I just hate throwing out my socks.

Socks are one of those things I forget to buy... not sure why because they're not expensive.

It's cold in Sacramento as well. Its foggy outside and I'm hoping it will lift soon so I can go for a jog.

Take care and go get you some new socks...okay.
