Wednesday Wisdom

Well, not really wisdom. But, just tidbits.

I'm on vacation this week. YAY!!!!!!

My family and I have spent the past four days hanging out in a timeshare at a nice resort. We've swam, we've done Disney, we've done a water park...... basically, we've had a blast.

And, no work.

Which is the best part.

Here's a few things I've learned.............

  •  I rock at not getting sunburned. One day at Disney.... One day at Aquatica. NO sunburn. I even have a hint of a tan. I may have gone through a bottle and a half of spray sunscreen, but whatever.

  • TMI Alert ------ I will ALWAYS start my period when I'm on a trip. Always. Every. single. time. I've gone out of town in the past two years. Without fail.

  • Apparently autocorrect doesn't like the way we Southerners spell "ya'll"......... They want to say "y'all". Hate to break it to you, autocorrect, but I win. Ok, so that's not really important, but I found it interesting.

  • Weight Watchers. I've sort of thrown it out the window this week. And, while I've brought my workout clothes, I've yet to make it to the gym. And, I'm trying really hard not to feel guilty about it. Here's the thing.......... I've been working really hard at this weightloss thing. Especially over the last year. But, it's almost become an obsession. To the point that if I eat a good meal or if I go more than a day without working out, I start to stress. Like, big time. I actually ask my family if I look like I'm gaining weight. Constantly. So, I made the decision to try to go on vacation like a normal person. My breakfast and lunch each day have been reasonable........ more points than I'd normally eat, but still reasonable. For dinner, we've been going out. And, I have been indulging. But, I've either split meals or only eaten half. Still, more than I normally eat, but not insane. I know I've probably gained a few pounds, but I'm going to go back from vacation like a normal person. Meaning, I'll go back to my normal eating and exercise when we get back home.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great week!!!

so glad you're enjoying your well deserved break!!! hope you share some pics with us. And don't worry about gaining a couple pounds on vacation-- you're there to relax, enjoy yourself, and not stress. You'll get back into the habit once your vacay is over. Life's too short to constantly be worrying about every morsel you consume. Also? I think you're perfect just the way you are.
