An Evening With Sir Elton John (11/21/10)

Remember when I talked about how I'd planned an awesome gift for my mom for her 50th birthday?

Well, Sir Elton John was it!

In fact, I extended the gift to my Ninny and stepdad Jeff. Their birthdays are each two weeks before and after my mom's, so it was a huge present to all of them that we went to the concert.

Ninny and I, before the show

SIR ELTON JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE the crocodile on the back of his jacket (especially since he didn't actually sing the song)....

He is currently on tour with Leon Russell. After the initial introduction, Leon sang, then Elton, then both of them together, and then Elton, again.

Leon Russell................ good, but not Elton John

This man is AMAZING. I grew up listening to his music, so I was in awe. Every age was imaginable was present.

Mom and I.....

The video isn't great, but you can hear him..............

The two together...........

D and I........

More...........

Really, the man is a legend for a reason..... I could have sat there all night......

At the end of the show, there were a few songs I wish he would have sung. Honestly, I could have done without Leon Russell. Still, it was a show I'll never forget.

LA and I....... adore her.....

After you posted yesterday about your mom's birthday I was totally wondering what the big gift was! Now I know! Looks like she loved it!

I would have been disappointed if he didn't do Crocodile Rock! That's probably my favorite!
