Is there something you wish you had learned how to do as a child?

I kind of wish I would have continued piano lessons. I started in 2nd grade and only made it 6 months. Music is not readable to me, for some reason. I could never take the notes on the page and transfer them to the keys. If you SHOW me how to play it, I can. I think my brain takes it as "finger choreography."

You know how you see a cookie and automatically can produce a sense of taste and smell to match? I imagine that people who are musicians can see a note on a page and just "hear" it. Not me, lol. It's a skill I envy.

Ironically, I can tell you if something is off-key. Also, I can take a piece of music and "feel" it..... the rhythm can get under my skin and my blood feels like it's flowing to the beat.

Who knows.... had I kept up with it, it's possible that I would have been able to eventually read music. However, all other attempts since have also failed, lol.

Who has been the biggest influence on your life?

My mom.

What is your greatest dream/hope/aspiration?

To eventually be a wife and mother. A good one. A happy one.

For such a long time, I was focused on a career. Now that I have it, I still have other dreams regarding my professional life, but my personal dreams are starting to take a front seat.

Do you believe you have reached your potential? Why/why not?

Absolutely not! I have reached potential in some areas, but there will always be ways in which I can grow and improve myself!!

Day 9 - A song you can dance to


Again, I can dance to almost any song. It comes from dancing for over 20 years, lol. Doesn't matter whether it's slow, fast, or just plain weird.
