Friday Questions and Day 13

30 Day Song Challenge

Day 13 - A Song that is a Guilty Pleasure

Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne

I seriously love this song. I know a lot of people hate it, but I still love it.

I mean, really, who can't relate at some point? This song came out when TG was in a relationship with this AWFUL girl. She was absolutely horrid. In fact, less than a month ago, she stopped by one of our remotes and started bad-mouthing him to one of my coworkers. Three years after they've broken up and she's going up to people she doesn't even know to trash him. It really was a good thing I wasn't there...... 1) Because she does know me and 2) Because I may have done something completely uncharacteristic and told her off.

Anyway, she was awful. This song came out at the perfect time because every single word fit. Especially the line, "What the hell were you thinking?"

I didn't even have to ask him that because he quickly started asking that of himself, lol.

1. Are you a neat sleeper or a messy sleeper?

I am a neat sleeper. I sleep on one side of the bed (even though I have an entire bed to myself, lol) and only have to pull the covers back up to make the bed.

2. Fill in the blank. I wish I was more ________________.

productive.

I get lazy when I'm not working and don't do things that I know I probably should. Like keep things neat and organized. Or, cook. Or, any number of great things that don't involve sitting on the couch.

I really just like to lounge, that's all. Plus, I always use the excuse that my job requires a lot of energy, so I don't want to use it up when I'm not working, lol.

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?

No clue.

I'm sure there is something, but I just can't recall.

4. What was the best thing you ever found at a garage sale/flea market?

Again, nothing really comes to mind. My family LOVES to go garage saling. I liked it when I was a little kid, but haven't been a fan since.

5. If you could have any meal brought to you right now, what would it be?

Sushi. I've been craving sushi for about three days now. It's a new thing for me, lol.

I'm also craving a great big BBQ Pork sandwich. And, chocolate.

I'm PMSing today something fierce.

Two days ago (which was about 20 hours before I started.... not that you wanted to know that, but I figure context is a good thing), I was DYING for a Coke and a cookie. Like, I would have killed a man or wrestled a bear for one. Coke and a cookie has always been a favorite afternoon snack of mine (probably explains  a lot, huh?). In high school, our concession stand had Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and before Cheerleading practice, I loved to get a Coke and a Cookie. Or, at the mall, I loved to go to American Cookie Company and get a Coke and a Cookie. There's something yummy and comforting about the combination.

Anyway, I was at psychotic levels with my craving and didn't know what to do about it. Because, I've almost completely broken my habit of Coke/Diet Coke drinking......... before Wednesday, I hadn't had a soda since July 16th..... and am pretty careful about the sweets I eat. I track everything I eat, period. But, the craving was insatiable. So, I went downstairs to our machine and got one. A (diet) Coke and a Cookie.

Amazing.

It put me in such an incredible happy place.

Lauren's Fill in the Blank Friday

1. Today for breakfast I ate a banana, a chocolate Calcium chew, and green tea with mint and honey.

2. My go to/never fail recipe is a super easy Strawberry Salad. Not exactly cooking, but it works, lol.

3. Something I eat that other people think is weird is Pumpkin Ravioli. I love it, but a lot of people I know think it's odd.

4. My worst cooking disaster ever was when I tried to make this chocolate strawberry cake for a church cake auction. It didn't go well...... fresh strawberries, chocolate cake, big blobby mess.

5. If I could only eat one flavor of ice cream the rest of my life it would be vanilla. You can dress it up all sorts of ways or just eat it plain. Yummy!

6. One food I hate and avoid at all costs is eggs. I hate them every which way you can make them. I also hate tomatoes. And, condiments.

7. What is your favorite meal? Breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Probably lunch or dinner. I do enjoy breakfast, but only if I have time to wake up, get hungry, and eat leisurely, lol.

Very cute blog! And...I love that song too!

So this Coke/Cookie thing...does it have to be Coke? Not Pepsi? Just curious :)

And BBQ pulled pork sandwiches are one of my favorite foods of all time. Have a great week!
